Automation Lead

What do you do at ThreatQuotient?

I help ensure the quality of our platform by leading a team to write and maintain a set of automated tests that verify the product’s intended functionality.

How long have you worked there?

2 years

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love that the job is challenging and that we’re involved with every aspect of the product. We don’t just test pieces of the platform, we test all of it which means we need to become intimately familiar with how the entire product works.

What do you enjoy most about the company?

I love the people who work here. They are highly intelligent, skilled individuals who really enjoy what they are doing which makes coming to work with them fun and exciting. I also think that I happen to work with a set of genuinely great people and enjoying the company of your co-workers is always an unexpected bonus.

How did you get into cybersecurity?

This company is my first job in cyber, before that I was a full stack engineer for other industries like television broadcasting and government contracting. My wife is a SOC Director and she introduced me to cyber. I was intrigued at how quickly the industry was moving and growing and I wanted to be a part of it.

What are your hopes for women in cybersecurity in the future?

I hope women won’t be intimidated by the numbers. When you hear that there are only 20-25% women in cyber it can sound uncomfortable, but the truth is that there are a lack of people as a whole in this industry. The opportunities to grow and excel are absolutely available for women and from my experience the women that are in this industry are truly incredible.
