Aaron Bierlein is the threat intelligence capabilities manager at DeepSeas, LLC. Aaron began his career in intelligence in the US Army as a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) specialist and Cryptologic linguist before transitioning to cyber intelligence after his discharge. Aaron has worked for various clients in the federal government, healthcare, technology, oil and gas, and finance sectors, building cyber threat programs and teaching threat intelligence best practices.

Prior to joining Cybersixgill, Gabi led the product teams at Payoneer for two years and Check Point Software Technologies for nine years, where he drove the company’s product portfolio from strategy to full execution and go to market. Jérémy Couture

Jeremy Couture is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with over ten years of experience. He currently serves as the Head of SOC for the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, where he is responsible for overseeing the security operations center and ensuring the safety of the committee’s digital assets.

Jeremy’s career in cybersecurity began in 2011 when he worked as a Project Manager and Network Architect for the Crédit Agricole Group Infrastructure Platform. He has since managed complex cybersecurity projects and built strong relationships with industry leaders. In addition to his impressive career achievements, Jeremy is a passionate advocate for cybersecurity awareness and education. John Barth

John has over 10 years of professional experience specialized in intelligence. Before joining Mandiant, John supported multiple Fortune 500 companies as a threat analyst at an MSSP. He also supported U.S. Army Cyber Command, where he led intelligence analysis and advised U.S. Army analysts. At U.S. Army Cyber Command, John developed multiple strategic analysis products incorporating the influence of geopolitical events on threats to U.S. Army Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. He frequently briefed senior leaders and officers on cyber threat trends.

John also served in the U.S. Army for five years where he conducted both human intelligence operations and cyber threat intelligence analysis supporting U.S. Pacific Command. During this time, John supported multiple joint operations and exercises with U.S. security agencies and partner nations.

Michael Daniel

Michael leads the CTA team and oversees the organization’s operations. Prior to joining the CTA in February 2017, Michael served from June 2012 to January 2017 as Special Assistant to President Obama and Cybersecurity Coordinator on the National Security Council Staff. In this role, Michael led the development of national cybersecurity strategy and policy, and ensured that the US government effectively partnered with the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and other nations.

Rebecca is an Executive Director with FS-ISAC (Financial Services ISAC). Based in Geneva, she focuses on Switzerland, France and French-speaking markets.

Rebecca has spent her career in financial technology, working for banks and asset managers in Europe and the US. Prior to moving to Switzerland in 2018, she was Head of Technology for a Private Bank in Monaco for 8 years. Her fascination with cyber security started when she was herself a victim of a cyber-enabled fraud.

Rebecca holds a degree from the University of Edinburgh (Social Science/Economics), a post-graduate diploma in Digital Finance Law from the University of Geneva, and a CAS in Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigation with Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Rick McElroy

Rick brings 25 years of dedicated experience in cyber security, he is passionate about helping organizations fortify their defenses and overcome complex security challenges. 

His journey in the world of security has taken him from battling and helping secure the U.S. Department of Defense to diverse industries, including retail, insurance, entertainment, cloud computing, and higher education. From performing rigorous penetration testing to architecting and leading robust security programs, his mission is to make the digital world safer. His most recent role was as the Chief Security Strategist for VMware Carbon Black. Rick now runs NeXasure a cyber security firm dedicated to helping organizations meet the cyber challenges they face.

Sébastien Bombal

Sébastien Bombal joined the MOE in September 2021, in order to create the new technical directorate in the National Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

Previously M. Sébastien Bombal has been in the French MOD as the special advisor of the French cyber commander and the head of the strategy and partnership branch of the French cybercommand.

During his career, he was also in charge of the cyber investigation and incident response at the SNCF (the French national rail company), Then he became in 2008 the chief of the cybersecurity and the worldwide infrastructure service line manager of AREVA (French multinational nuclear cycle and power plant corporation). He was also in 2014-2015 the COO of Orange Cyberdefense (subsidiary in cybersecurity of the French multinational telecommunications corporation) before joining the Joint Staff at the French MOD.

Shimon Modi

Shimon Modi is a seasoned product leader with 15+ years experience and proven record of launching products for cyber SOC analysts, covering security analytics, threat intelligence and response automation. Throughout his career he has worked in technical and leadership roles on a wide range of cyber security initiatives in industry, government and academia. 

Shimon is the VP of Cyber Product at Dataminr where he led the launch of their cyber solution. Previously he was VP of Product & Engineering at TruSTAR (acquired by Splunk), and Director of Product at Elastic. 

He has also served as a technical expert on US National Standards and a delegate for the US National Body for ISO biometrics standards. Over his career he has authored several publications, including a book, technical book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles. Tyler Howerton

Tyler Howerton is an experienced cybersecurity professional based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a career spanning over a decade. Beginning in IT Support and PCI Network Implementation, Tyler’s cyber journey started as a SOC analyst before transitioning to Cyber Threat Intelligence almost 10 years ago. Throughout his career, he has worked across several industries, including retail, food and agriculture, and aviation, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity.

Tyler holds a Master’s degree in Computer Information Assurance and Network Defense, complemented by several certifications in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI). His passion for cybersecurity is reflected in his dedication to helping others make better-informed decisions, whether supporting teams, clients, or peers.

Before shifting to cyber, Tyler gained hands-on experience in HVAC-R and building automation controls. He thrives on enabling successful outcomes for those he mentors and works with.

Outside of his professional life, Tyler is a husband, father to two young boys, and an active youth sports coach. He enjoys volunteering for crowdsourced intelligence research projects, fishing, and gaming on Xbox with his children.

Will Baxter

Will began his career serving in the US Marine Corps as an Aerial Navigator on KC-130 aircraft and later as a Marine Security Guard stationed at the American Embassy in Damascus, Syria. After his first enlistment he was asked to assist in creating Diplomatic Security’s Technical Operations Group tasked with remotely monitoring the embassies and posts overseas. Later, he was invited to join US-CERT (Now CISA) as an Incident Handler, Senior Watch Officer, and later a Network Security Analyst where he developed signatures for tracking nation state intrusion sets. After 10 years in government and military roles, Will moved into the private sector and continued his role as a Senior Security Analyst and Engineer developing and deploying security monitoring and detection controls and capabilities as part of the creation of a global Security Operations Center for one of the largest private companies in the U.S. After 5 years building and maturing the SOC, Will moved into a role as an Enterprise Security Architect consulting and advising on global projects, integrations, and business risk. Most recently, Will developed IT Shared Services capabilities for a non-profit network of organizations as their CIO, CTO, and CISO. Will joined Team Cymru in April of 2022.

Chris Jacob

Leon Ward

As VP of Product Management, Leon Ward leverages his 15+ years of experience in information and network security to lead product aspects of ThreatQuotient’s innovative threat intelligence platform, ThreatQ. In this role, Leon drives the ThreatQ product roadmap aimed at improving the efficiency of analysts, security teams and threat operations. Prior to ThreatQuotient, Leon was Cisco’s Group Product Manager of Security Innovation, contributing to a number of exciting product launches that were aimed to change the infosecurity world. Matt McCormick

As the SVP of Corporate and Business Development of ThreatQuotient, Matt McCormick focuses primarily on developing relationships that drive revenue for ThreatQuotient as well as partners. Matt has worked in the cybersecurity industry for over 20 years with experience as a programmer, cybersecurity consultant and sales engineer. Prior to joining ThreatQuotient, Matt was the VP of Business Development at Sourcefire, Inc. for 11 years prior to its $2.7 billion acquisition by Cisco Systems.
